It all started when...

These are random photos of the damascus process and around the shop.

Mig welding the billet prior to going into the forge.

Into the forge at 2320 deg F.

Pressing under the 60 ton press.

Grinding tack welds off the sides before drawing out.

More press work.

Multiple layers stacked and lightly being tapped together prior to the press.

Drawing out the billet under my 175kg DeMoor power hammer.

Another trip to the press.

Pieces stacked, tack welded and ready to go in to the forge.

These pieces have been split, mig welded together and are now ready to be forge welded to make a feather pattern.
